Cons Of The Juice Cleanse Diet
While drinking freshly juiced fruits and vegetables may have many health benefits, consuming nothing but juice for three days or more is not necessarily healthy or sustainable in the long term. Any health benefits gained are only temporary.
Children, people who are pregnant or nursing, or those with diabetes or chronic liver, kidney, or gallbladder problems should not undertake a juice cleanse.

If you want to get through the 3 days of juicing without or limited hunger pains, cravings for solid food & other possible side effects, its recommended to cut out meat, dairy, sugar & coffee a couple of days before starting the juice cleanse, this will prepare your body for whats to come. How I am feeling after my 3 day juice cleanse plan:
Because I combined smoothies and juices I really didnt get hungry. Before each meal I was hungry before lunch and dinner but once I had my smoothies I was fine.
Weight loss: I didnt weight myself as weight loss wasnt my goal but I feel healthy, energised and vibrant. I am motivated to include more juices in my weeks and I feel ready to eat more whole foods.

What Is Detox Juice
Detox juice is the nutritious, fresh juice extracted from fruits and vegetables using different methods, including by hand, an electric juicer, or by blending in the blender.

Why Are You Not Feeling Good
You have likely fallen victim to the awful detox symptoms weve mentioned earlier. Your body is working overtime to release toxins, so you may experience symptoms like low energy levels, mood swings, and irritability. You are also taking in a lot more nutrients than your body is generally used to. Dont panic, and dont lose heart! You are not doing it wrong. Before The Homemade 3 Day Juice Cleanse

It took me a while to build up the courage to share this publicly as im not in the best shape that Ive ever been in. As you can see in the photo im definitely not as big as when I was a teenager, but I still didnt feel myself and I wanted to take a reference image before the experiment began. 1.Get a Juicer You will need to use a proper juicer to extract the juice from the fruits and vegetables. It is not the same as blending them up in a blender. I used the Philips Viva Quick Clean Juicer. 2. Use a Drinking Bottle With MeasurementsThis is so it is easier to keep track of the amount of water you are drinking throughout the day. 3. Dont Go To The SupermarketGet everything you need before you start the cleanse so you dont get tempted by everything on the shelves. 4. Do It When You Have Free TimeDont attempt to do a 3 day juice cleanse when you have a lot of events lined up or parties to go to. Even just a family gathering can hamper your efforts. You dont want to be the one sipping a juice while everyone else is eating birthday cake. 5. Stay BusyStaying busy during the day will help you to avoid boredom which will also stop your mind from wandering, thinking about food and wanting to eat. Whether thats doing some work, household chores or finally getting around to colour coordinating your sock drawer. 6. Drink Lots of WaterAs well as the juices make sure to drink lots of lovely H2O. Ideally a minimum of 2 liters per day. I was drinking 2.5 liters a day & also had a couple of herbal teas 7. Go To Bed Early I was in bed by 10pm each night. Getting a good nights sleep will add to the benefits of doing the juice cleanse. Waking up refreshed and alert, plus your body will thank you for the extra rest and repair.
Who Are Juice Cleanses Safe For
To determine who cleanses are safe for, we must weed out those that theyre not. Eating disorders, while not the only concern to mull over when considering going on a juice cleanse, are certainly a determining factor. I would highly discourage the use of juice cleanses for anyone who struggles with disordered eating or an eating disorder since it can just be an extension of the disorder, says holistic nutritionist Amanda Carneiro of Raw Fitness and Nutrition. Also, juice cleanses can create a calorie deficit and force the body to run on cortisol, which can be detrimental for anyone struggling with adrenal issues.
As a general rule of thumb, Carneiro says that cleanses are safe for those looking for a way to detox from unhealthy foods, alcohol, or an overall unhealthy lifestyle. They can also be beneficial for giving your digestive system a break, she adds. Many people who struggle with digestive issues can have trouble digesting the fibers in fruits and vegetables. Since juicing removes the fibers, she says a cleanse can be really easy on the digestive system.
At the end of the day, the best way to determine whether a juice cleanse is right for you is to chat with your doctor about any pre-existing conditions that could adversely interact with ingredients or methods of the cleanse.
