What Clean Eating Means To Me
I think everyone has their own philosophy when it comes to clean eating so I thought I should share mine! First and foremost, I believe in balance. I love salads but I also love french fries. I love meal prepping and cooking at home but also love a night out. Depending on what my health goals are at the time, I try to eat at home for most meals during the week. I dont follow a specific diet, I just always make sure I eat balanced meals of lean protein, high fiber and healthy fats.

While drinking freshly juiced fruits and vegetables may have many health benefits, consuming nothing but juice for three days or more is not necessarily healthy or sustainable in the long term. Any health benefits gained are only temporary.

- 1 carrot, peeled and cut into 1cm cubes
- 500g pumpkin, cut into 1 cm cubes
- ½ celery chopped
Heat the olive oil with onion in a large saucepan. Add the leek and gently cook over a low heat until soft, then add the stock, water, tomatoes, carrot, pumpkin and celery.
Bring to the boil, reduce the heat and simmer for 30-40 minutes.
A detox is not appropriate if you are pregnant, breastfeeding, elderly, have high blood pressure, are underweight and always seek advice from your dietitian or GP if you are taking any medications or have any other health conditions prior to undertaking any specific dietary regime. How Many Calories Should I Be Eating On The Keto Soup Diet
Keep your calories between 1200-1400 per day, and your carbs under 20g no nuts, dairy or artificial sweeteners is non-negotiable if youre trying to follow this specific plan.
Im including a daily snack, though if you find you dont need it then dont force yourself but because the soup is low in calories, you will likely need the snack to get through the day. You can have this snack between breakfast and lunch, or lunch and dinner depending on your preference and schedule. Or not at all again thats up to you. Feel free to mix and match the snacks or eat the same thing every day if thats easier for you.
On a side note, you can substitute an extra bulletproof coffee or tea for the snack the calories will be around the same!

For the rest of the veggies, I eat them raw, steamed, roasted, or boiled/blanched. Have a light lunch on your 2-day detox with this salad recipe. Combine 2-3 cups of leafy greens with chopped radish, carrot, cucumber, zucchini or any other raw salad vegetables . Add 2 tablespoons of fermented vegetables such as sauerkraut. And top your salad with 4-8oz of chicken, fish or tempeh, depending on your hunger levels. Dress with my Green Goddess Dressing .
Green Goddess Dressing Recipe
- 1 tablespoon pumpkin seeds, toasted
- 1 teaspoon Extra Virgin Olive Oil
In a large pan saute the shallots, garlic and fennel in coconut oil for 2 minutes. Add the bone broth, broccoli, lemon juice, lemon zest, salt and pepper and leave to cook for 4 minutes.
Take off the heat and then add the avocado and spinach, letting the heat wilt the spinach for a couple of minutes. Blend all ingredients together until smooth and top with the pumpkin seeds and extra virgin olive oil.
Can I Do This Plan If I Am A Vegetarian
Yes! While the keto soup diet plan is more limiting without meat, it can absolutely be tailored to be vegetarian.
If you are fine with seafood you can substitute fish or shrimp in the soup.
If you dont eat any animal flesh, you can simply omit the chicken, OR replace it with tofu or another non meat protein of your choice. If you are fine with eggs then simply increase the eggs to 3, omit the bacon from your breakfast, and eat an entire avocado.
Instead of tuna salad, have egg salad for all of the snacks.
