Disclaimer: Despite my philosophy on living a healthy and fit lifestyle, I must admit I am human and there are the occasional cheat days.or rather cheat months as August kind of turned into. Lazy days at the beach, summer bbqs and downright disregard for routine wreaked havoc on my diet. It did teach me a lesson, however. I ended up feeling bloated, tired and completely unmotivated . So when my friend Melody suggested I try the Advocare 10 Day Cleanse, I was so excited to get out of this rut, I jumped in head first the following Monday. I happened to forget this was the exact same week that my daughter was turning 5 so the usual scoops of frosting here and there from leftover birthday cake were definitely not happening. Read on to see how the week played out

What Did You Eat For Breakfast & Lunch On The Advocare 24 Day Challenge

For breakfast Nate always drank a meal replacement shake and I either had a shake or oatmeal with a half scoop of protein powder and fruit. I feel like the days I eat oatmeal Im less hungry, so I have a lot of shakes left for busy mornings!

For lunch, we ate tacos/salads, beef-vegetable soup and mostly leftovers. We are very fancy folk! I think my best advice here is to keep things as simple and doable as possible!

For our sides we ate a lot of potatoes, sweet potatoes, corn, green beans, peas, salad, green pepper/fajita veggies.

Whew! That is a lot of good eats!

Some meals we repeated, and I generally like to keep things very simple, as you can see.

As you can also see we werent perfect during the Advocare 24 Day challenge, but we did our best to consistently follow the guidelines.

Yup, we ate pizza one meal, but were right back with it and Im sure not everything at Panera was on the up and up, but we also painted a house, helped lay a hardwood floor, and moved, all while both still working and keeping an 8 month old alive.

Id say we did pretty darn good and our results speak for themselves!
