Love Angels On Bare Skin
This is a great cleanser, exfoliate, and moisturizer.. all in one! I honestly don’t know why they don’t sell it as a “three in one treatment” and charge more for it. It is so reasonably priced for all that it does. Especially considering that I don’t have to apply an expensive moisturizer afterwards.EffectivenessCleans very well! It is labelled as a cleanser, so I’d recommend avoiding it if you are not a fan of having any excess or leftover product on your face because it is also very moisturizing. Moisturizer is good for all types of skin, though! It keeps dry skin hydrated and it keeps oily skin from producing too much oil. The almonds are very calming to sensitive skin.Ease of ApplicationMostly simple to apply, just mix it with a little bit of water and rub all over your face. Sometimes it can be a little tough or too thick to mix with water making it a little difficult to make into a liquid paste.ScentFresh lavender! Can not beat that smell.

Measure Your Ground Almonds And Clay
Scoop the ground almonds and clay into a mixing bowl. Stir until the ingredients are mixed together.
I often read online that you cant use metal bowls, spoons or other utensils when handling clays. Some say that when clay comes into contact with metal it makes the clay useless, others say it absorbs dirt from the spoon.
As these sources seem to contradict each other, I tried to find a good scientific article that backs up these claims. But I couldnt find one.
From what I understand, clay can only exchange ions with metals in water. And even when youre mixing water and clay, the chance of ion transfer is very slim. Read more about this in my clay face mask article here.
So it seems like you can just use regular metal spoons when handling clay. Especially when youre only using your tools to scoop the dry powder out of the container into the mixing bowl.
If this still worries you, I see no harm in opting for ceramic, plastic or glass tools instead. The only material I wouldnt recommend is wood, as they are harder to clean and to keep hygienic.
To Apply Angels On Bare Skin
The application of Angels On Bare Skin is very easy simply add a pea-sized amount in your palm and add a little water to form a small paste. It is suggested that the paste it still fairly thick when you apply it but that is of course entirely up to you. Once you have covered your face, rub it in gently in circular motions for a little exfoliation and then wash it away. I usually do it in the shower just for ease but you can do it over the sink with a flannel too.

Diy Lush Angels On Bare Skin Cleanser
Lush is one of my favorite luxuries in this world, but its also ridiculously expensive, which definitely doesnt work for everyone. I know this firsthand: As a college student, I cant always afford to buy a lot of the crazy-priced items they offer , even if the value of what you get for that money is undeniable.
The solution? For those products that I really love, but dont want to shell out the big bucks on, I make my own versions!
One of the pricier face and body cleansers at Lush is Angels on Bare Skin. Described as a heavenly blend of cleansing kaolin clay, ground almonds and a soothing blend of lavender, rose and chamomile oils, Angels on Bare Skin has been a customer favorite for years. A quick scrub with this nubbly cleanser leaves skin calm, balanced, soft and smooth, and because its so gentle, anyone can use it.
While its a fan favorite for its superior cleansing abilities , the scent and the price threw me off. Coming in at $16.95 for 3.5 ounces or $41.95 for only 8.4 ounces, Angels is definitely only for the richest or most committed Lushies. Even if I was willing to spend that amount of money for a daily cleanser, Angels on Bare Skin is one of the few Lush products that I hate the smell of. I love lavender and rose in general, but something else in the mix throws off the smell for me.
Lush Cleanser Review Angels On Bare Skin Let The Good Times Roll & Herbalism

Hello Lovelies
Today I will be reviewing a couple of the Lush cleansers. I bought my first one after I purchased a face moisturizer from Lush and loved it! Angels on Bare Skin was my second Lush purchase and one of the reasons I fell in love with this company and its products.
Angels on Bare Skin Cleanser
As gentle as being kissed by angles. An age old formula that uses the best effective ingredients. Lush
This has to be one of my all time favourite Lush products. You can see how well used my container is. It just works so well for my skin! It has a clay type constancy and you just pinch off a pea sized piece, wet it in your hands to make a paste. Then apply to your face and rinse off. It gentle exfoliates and I find I can use it twice and day with no problems. It really is lovely and gentle. Ground Almonds, Kaolin, Lavender oil and rose absolute are some of the main ingredients in this cleanser. It smells of lavender and almonds, but is a soft scent and I dont find it over powering at all.
Lush claims that this product will Even out skin tone, reduce redness and improve the health and appearance of your skin, giving a natural healthy glow
I really loved this and it is definitely a product I will keep buying again and again. I got great results with it and despite its small sized it lasted quite a while.

Diy Lush Angels On Bare Skin Copycat Recipe
I have been focusing a lot on Lush products lately, and have been trying to replicate those formulas with products I have laying around my kitchen. It has been quite challenging so far, but I must admit I am fairly pleased with the results!
Angels On Bare Skin is one of the most iconic products by Lush, and has a whole lot of benefits for your skin it is a great option for people with acne-prone skin, as well as more sensitive complexions. Best Cleansers and Exfoliators in 2022Listing monitored
I brought this product a few days ago, who was recommended by a person who works at Lush. I gave it a try, and GUESS WHAT. My face was perfectly clear before trying the product, , the ONLY reason why I bought this product was to hydrate my face. The first day I tried this product went great, had no problem, made my face soft, glowy, and hydrated it. However, the next day, it didn’t go that way. IT MADE ME BREAKOUT. I started to have pimples all over my FACE, and I still have some at this moment. I do not recommend this product to ANYONE, you’re free to give it a try, but just be CAREFUL. never . AGAIN .

Place Into An Airtight Container
When you are happy with the formation of your DIY angels on bare skin, it is time to place it in an airtight contaner. I used a jar with a clip-lock lid to really seal it. By using an airtight container, you will hopefully reduce the amount the mixture dries out.
This recipe also has a low water content with the rose water, however, it does not contain any preservatives, so bacteria can still breed in the mixture. Therefore you want to make this in small batches and use up within a few weeks.
Then your DIY Angels on Bare Skin is ready to go!

How To Use Angels On Bare Skin
As you can see from the first picture of the product above, its texture is a little unusual in that you take part of it and make it into a paste yourself with water. I take a pinch of the cleanser and add a drop of water and rub it together to make a paste. I like it to be quite thick rather than watery so you can always add more water to get your desired texture. Once its been made it into a paste a massage it around my face in gentle, circular movements. I remove the cleanser with warm water and a flannel.
My skin always feels soft and smooth after using this cleanser. I have very sensitive skin and I find this a really gentle, but effective cleanse.

Cons Of Angels On Bare Skin
One thing I will mention about this product is that it will not remove your make up. I like to use this mostly in the morning before I would apply any make up this is not as issue for me but something I felt I should mention. I have used other cleansers in the evening that removed my make up as well as leaving my skin feeling refreshed so if you wear a lot of make up, you may want to use this in conjunction with another cleanser.
I dont wear a huge amount of make up, and on the occasion that I do apply a minimal amount, I like to remove it first and then apply my cleanser to ensure it is adequately removed, so this is not a big deal for me.
This product can also make a bit of a mess due to the texture of the cleanser. Of course, this to be expected due to the nature of the ingredients but I felt it was necessary to add! As mentioned earlier, I usually apply this product in the shower to avoid making a mess and using an extra flannel
Fab Bits About Angels On Bare Skin

I love to use this product because it leaves me feeling really refreshed and ready for the day despite getting up super early all week for work. I really love the smell of it too its quite botanical and natural with the lavender scent, its strong enough to notice yet not too potent. I have a lot of lavender products, I cant stop buying them because I just love the calming effect it has on me and how they make me feel so I was really happy to come across this cleanser.
£9 for 100g is admittedly quite expensive, but I use such a small amount of this product each day that I know it will last me for months so I think this is quite reasonable. This is also available in 250g pot for £22.50 which works out at the same value.

Weigh Out Ground Almonds And Kaolin Clay
The first thing to do is place your mixing bowl onto the weighing scales and set the scales to 0. Then weigh out 25g of the ground almonds. To this, weigh out the 20g of Kaolin clay and mix in with the ground almonds. Now, to weigh the clay out, re-set the weighing scales back to 0 so that you dont have to do any math calculations.
Lushs cleanser is mainly made up of these two ingredients. The ground almonds are to gently exfoliate the skin, with the kaolin clay can help to control oiliness, as well as soothe and calm the skin. Also a fun fact for you when you wet the mixture you will get a milky substance from it. This is, in fact, the kaolin clay reacting with the water and not milk coming from the almonds. I didnt realise that until I looked into how to make my own!
Angels On Bare Skin Lush Review
I had been looking for a new cleanser for a while before I bought Angels on Bare Skin. I like to have a good understanding of the product and read reviews before I purchase products, especially cleansers. They are often expensive and as I have sensitive skin, it does get upset very easily so its nice to see other peoples reviews before you spend your own money!

About Angels On Bare Skin
Lushs Angels on Bare Skin is a product I reach for a lot in summer when my favourite cleanser, Ultrabland can be a bit too heavy to use during the day in the hot weather. Its my summer daytime cleanser. When I switch to using Ultrabland twice a day in the colder months I still like to keep a pot of this in my skincare stash for brightening up my skin and buffing away dead skin. Its also amazing to use with Ultrabland as part of a double cleanse.
Angels on Bare Skin is one of Lushs fresh products meaning it has quite a short use by date. Lush recommend using the product within three months of manufacture All Lush products come with a manufacturing date sticker anyway so youll know your product is still nice and fresh.
Angels on Bare Skin ingredients: ground almonds, glycerine, kaolin, water, lavender oil, rose absolute, chamomile blue oil, tagetes oil, benzoin resinoid, lavender flowers, limonene, linalool.
How To Use My Version Of Angels On Bare Skin
Pinch off a piece of cleanser slightly bigger than a pea. After wetting your face, sprinkle a few small drops of water into the mix on your hand, then apply it as you would a normal face cleanser, rubbing gently to exfoliate. Leave it on for a few minutes or rinse right away with cold water. No toner or moisturizer should be required afterwards: Your face will feel soft and appear smooth!
I hope you enjoy my recipe! If you tried it, be sure to let me know what you think.

Really Good For My Sensitive Skin
I have found this one of the best facial scrubs for my delicate and sensitive skin, i use a pea sized amount while in the shower and rinse off immediately after using it. I have found that buying it for some time , that Lush products can have consistency issues between batches, and I have had to return one jar a while back as it was rough in texture. The Lush ladies gladly replaced it, but the reason this product loses a star is because I want to know what I am buying is consistently the same batch to batch.
It made my face greasy as soon as I put it on and washed it off. I will not use it again. Maybe I received a bad batch of it but I do not like it.
