In the years since then, the brand has expanded its skincare offerings significantlyrolling out toners, face masks, scrubs, makeup removers, and cleansers.

How This $6 Cleanser Stacked Up To A More Expensive Fan
I’ve tested hundreds of beauty products thanks to my job writing about them, and Charlotte Tilbury’s brand ranks high on my list. The brand’s Pillow Talk lipstick is universally flattering and can always be found in my handbag. The brand somewhat recently released a charcoal-based cleanser, and I knew I had to put it to the test against the version from Bioré.
At first glance, Bioré and Charlotte Tilbury’s version appeared virtually the same both claim to draw out impurities from clogged pores. They even have the same color, texture, and easy application. But when I put them to the test, it became clear that in this case, expensive didn’t mean better.
Tilbury’s cleanser, unfortunately, did more harm than good. The formula felt heavy on my skin, and when mixed with water, the consistency turned oil-like and made my pores feel clogged which was confirmed when I began breaking out after a few uses.
Considering that the Charlotte Tilbury cleanser is more than triple the price, it seems obvious to me that Bioré’s cleanser provides a better value.

Over all I feel it is pretty decent product which works good on my oily, acne prone skin though I am not impressed to get it again for it gives me dry, stretchy skin quite often. Not to forget I own Boscia konjac charcoal sponge as well and hence I can get benefits of charcoal cleansing from sponge alone! However, if you are fine with parabens, sls and menthol then you will definitely like it for its charcoal content which refines, cleans and clears skin up to a good extent!

Upon using it for pretty decent 3-4 weeks I finally realized that it does what it claims to up to good extent not completely though. Moreover, I would like to avoid it in winters as it tends to give me stretchy/dry skin sometimes which might be due to its menthol content! About My Skin: Constantly Dry With Occasional Breakouts
If you looked up the definition of dry skin, youd see my face pictured there as an example. My skin is constantly parched, especially during the winter. In addition to dryness, Ive also been experiencing more breakouts than usual as of late. My Experience With Biore Deep Pore Charcoal Cleanser:
This translucent black charcoal cleanser is slight runny in nature with teeny black charcoal flakes which are not invigorating on my skin. It seems like any normal gel cleanser which appears grainy but in actual its texture is way soft and gel type. However it is really effective and tough on dirt, oil and blemishes!
I also feel it is not good at removing waterproof make up, I need to either wipe off my waterproof eye liner with oil & cotton or else this cleanser takes at least 2-3 washes to remove them off completely! Hence I limit its usage just once a day in morning when I really need to awaken my senses while getting rid of dirt, oil and laziness which it actually does very effectively! Even my hubby loves to use it every day as part of his grooming session for he loves that cooling, tingling sensation which activates our senses!
Over all, I would like to recommend this decent charcoal cleanser to every beauty who is on budget provided you are fine with its ingredients like: parabens, SLS, menthol etc.! It works above average on my skin however I dont think it would help me in winters as it gives me slight stretchy dry skin. It is a nay for dry, sensitive skin anyways!

The Results: Pretty Powerful
For me, the perfect cleanser is one that removes dirt but still leaves my skin feeling hydrated. This one certainly helps eliminate dirt, oil, and bacteria. After rinsing off the cleanser, my skin felt deeply cleansed. But because I have naturally dry skin, the powerful cleansing agents in this product did leave my skin feeling a bit dry. While it says it is suitable for daily use, I wouldnt opt to use it that often for this reason.
What It’s Like To Use The Bior Charcoal Cleanser
This cleanser is really simple to use.
The first step is to wet your face either in the shower or at your sink. From there, pump a few drops of the cleanser onto your hands and begin working it in circular motions around your face. In seconds, the once dark gray formula will transform into a white foam.
I like to spend about 30 seconds rubbing it around on my face so it has time to penetrate the pores and work its magic. After rinsing it off, I often notice a “tingly-cool” sensation that’s most noticeable on the bridge of my nose or on my cheeks, as those are my problem areas .
When I need a really deep clean, I like to use my Pro X Olay Face Brush with the cleanser. The vibrations loosen up gunk in my pores and the spinning brush head helps the product distribute evenly. Plus, the face massage is a nice way to wake up tired, puffy skin.
I use this cleanser year-round, but because it can be a bit drying, I adjust its role in my regimen depending on the season. During colder seasons, I tend to scale back my use to a few times a week and add in a heavier moisturizer. But once summer rolls around, I ramp up my use of this cleanser to twice a day to combat the extra oils from sunscreen and heat.
