My Experience With Clarins Gentle Foaming Cleanser With Cottonseed
I used to use the Clarins Gentle Foaming Cleanser with Tamarind for Combination to oily skin religiously, before I started using my Himalaya Neem face wash after a trip back to India. However when I was shopping in London for my lotion at Clarins in Selfridges, the SA suggested I use this face wash since my acne had settled down.
It is a white creamy mousse cleanser with a very gentle smell, unlike the tamarind face wash, this one did not have any micro breads for gentle exfoliation to the skin. I first used it in the night with warm water, my skin felt fresh, squeaky clean and soft and supple. It felt similar to how it felt while using the Tamarind cleanser by Clarins.However, unfortunately after using it for 3-4 days, I had to stop using this face wash since it resulted in me breaking out and I acquired some slight redness on my cheeks. Like I mentioned before, my skin is very particular with the type of products I use on it and does not like experimentation very much. I think it would be better for normal skin rather than oily skin.

Where I got it: I bought this from my local Life Pharmacy while Clarins was having a gift with purchase promotion when you buy 2 or more products. I got a bottle of body treatment oil along with this. The gift was a beautiful box of products that are almost half to 2/3 of the full sized products . RRP$57.00.
What I got: This is a 100ml tube of Clarins Gentle Foaming Cleanser with Cottonseed. This Gentle Foaming Cleanser with Cottonseed for combination skin is as effective as soap and as mild as cream. Targeted ingredients in the face wash work to respect and preserve the skins natural moisture balance. Enriched with comforting Coconut extract it nourishes, softens and boosts the skins radiance. My cousin was even using this cleanser on her burnt skin and it was gentle enough as to not cause any further irritation or discomfort. As I say in every cleanser review: Cleansing is the harshest step of any skincare routine. So finding a cleanser that is strong enough to remove impurities and actually clean your skin while still being gentle enough as to not irritate or dry it out can be quite challenging. But the Clarins Gentle Foaming Cleanser With Cottonseed does tick all those boxes. If you have normal to combination skin , youll probably really enjoy using it. The cleansing experience itself is great because you only need the tiniest bit of amount to clean your face. Note: some reviews complained about this being over stripping or not gentle enough, I think they were just using too much product, so be careful with that as using more product will amount to more cleansing which will amount to a more drying effect.
