My Experience With Clean & Clear Deep Action Oil

This oil-free cream wash comes in an aqua green and blue tube packaging. It has a flip open cap which is easy to open up. This 150 ml pack is a little bulky to carry in a handbag and I didnt find any smaller pack so its not travel-friendly.

The fragrance is mild and reminds me of menthol. I really dont like the fragrance as its chemical like and feels like I am applying some toothpaste on my face. I like face washes which smell pleasant.

The cream wash is white in colour and quiet creamy. When I mixed it up with water, it didnt lather up at all. I felt that it will not clean up the face well as it has no lather. When I applied it on my face I felt like I am applying some non- oily cream mixed with water on my face. To my surprise after washing off with water my skin was feeling squeaky clean and soft. There was no dry or stretchy feeling at all. There was a cool tingling feeling which for a while. I was impressed by the cleaning part. It leaves my skin soft and it feels fresh. I was not expecting much from this and I am glad it does what it claims. I have been using it for last 15 days and it didnt break me out. I think it will suit oily skin type but people with sensitive skin may have a problem with the tingling sensation. The product does not specify whether it is meant for men or women, but I feel men will like it more because of the menthol smell and cooling sensation.

This cleanser is a cream cleanser, which means that its pretty thick, opaque, and creamy in consistency. It contains a fatty alcohol called cetyl alcohol, which is also included in CeraVe Hydrating Facial Cleanser and CeraVe Daily Moisturizing Lotion. Therefore, it feels almost like a lotion rather than a cleanser, but slightly more slippery.

When you rinse this off your face, youre left with a cooling sensation . It also contains salicylic acid, which helps improve skin texture by exfoliating. Although salicylic acid is not chemically considered a beta hydroxy acid , for marketing purposes, its categorized as a BHA, and the FDA requires companies to recommend using sun protection on the label of any product that contains salicylic acid.

Like Clean and Clear Deep Action Cream Cleanser, Neutrogena Deep Clean Cream Cleanser contains cetyl alcohol as the second ingredient. In fact, it contains every single ingredient that is in Clean and Clears versionwith a few extra thrown in there: methyl gluceth-20 and steareth-2.

Actually, I used to use Neutrogena Deep Clean Cream Cleanser exclusively in my college years. I liked that it was oil-free and it didnt dry out my skin. The fragrance was pretty light, and it didnt irritate my skin. Its a non-foaming cleanser and it makes your skin feel very refreshed after rinsing it off, because of the cooling aftereffects of the menthol. However, I think the cooling sensation wore off after weeks of continued use, so keep that in mind. Eventually, I decided to experiment with other types of face cleansers.

Works The Best For Me

This has been the best face cleanser and acne fighter for me for years. It works great on my skin. I like just about everything about it. The scent is a little strong, but I think of it as a clean smell. I’m also used to the scent by now. The store and generic versions of this product don’t have the same scent. They also don’t work as well in my opinion. I don’t think you need very much to wash with. I only use a dime sized amount, but it doesn’t lather up very much, so it is tempting to use to much just to get a good lather. You’ll go through the product pretty quick this way. This cleanser also works well as a make up remover. It doesn’t take mascara off very well, but it works well at removing everything else. My husband also uses this product. He doesn’t have any acne problems, but he won’t use anything else. He likes how this product feels. I do remember this product stinging a little the first few times I used it, but it passed. I don’t notice anything now.

The Clean & Clear Deep Action Cream Cleanser fulfills the mantra: “You get what you pay for.” It is very affordable, however, it never quite seems to do the job. Despite the tingly feel on your skin that it leaves behind and the cool, clean scent, it also leaves behind something undesirable: residue.Every time I use the Deep Action Cream Cleanser, I am left with the feeling that despite having just washed my face, it is not clean. I never can rid myself of the sensation that there is still a residue left behind from the cleanser.Now, perhaps, if you have very dry skin, this would create the perfect scenario: a deep cleanser that leaves your skin more refreshed and moisturized than when you began. But for someone who has a combination of dry and oily skin, this cleanser does not quite cut it. The residue left behind always left my skin more prone to breakouts. For this reason, I can’t really recommend this product.

One thing I really loved about this cleanser is how clean it made my skin feel. After washing with this cleanser my skin looked at felt so wonderfully clean, it was oil free and glowing and I just loved it. it also left a slightly cooling effect to my face which was nice in the morning to wake me up better. After using this for a few weeks though I noticed my skin getting drier and drier. I only wash in the morning and evening so I was not overusing and using only a small amount. I eventually had to stop using it as much as I loved it in the beginning it just dried it out too much. This cleanser would be great for someone with really oily skin.EffectivenessGives a very deep clean, my skin felt and looked incredibly clean after using this cleanser. I do like cream cleansers, but I dont like that both of these cream cleansers include fragrance and gelatin, both of which seem to be unnecessary ingredients. On an everyday, long-term basis, I much prefer to use lightweight, non-foaming, fragrance-free cleansers like Whole Foods 365 Everyday Value Gentle Skin Cleanser and CeraVe Hydrating Facial Cleanser.

So there you have it: Clean and Clear Deep Action Cream Cleanser is an acceptable choice for a short period of time, and for travel purposes, but look elsewhere if you have sensitive, acne-prone skin that doesnt react well to fragrances.

How To Use

Wet your face and squeeze Deep Action cream cleanser into the palm of your hand. Whip cream in your hands, then apply all over face, especially to areas where excess oil builds up. For extra cleansing action, massage into skin with a washcloth. Rinse thoroughly with water. Pat dry with towel. Recommended for daily use, both morning and night, in the shower or at the sink.
