Good Molecules Instant Cleansing Balm is a new solid facial cleansing balm that launched a few weeks ago at beautylish.com. As you may or may not know Good Molecules is Beautylishs house brand of affordable skincare much like the Ordinary or the recently launched Inkey List the brand focuses on inexpensive serums, potions, and lotions with minimal yet effective ingredients.
Ive actually tried most of the line when I initially picked up the Super Seven Set which was the original release but since that time they have added a ton more including the latest which is a Niacinamide Brightening Toner .
I was pretty excited to see a cleansing balm being added to the line up!
Good Molecules Instant Cleansing Balm is $15 and 2.5 oz in size. You can buy it individually or Beautylish sells it in two-packs and three-packs. Ok, let me just say, I love Beautylish. LOVE them. And I get that cleanser is something I run through very quickly so, I appreciate they are all well make this available in a two and even a three-pack! Yay! But theres no savings. Its like whats the point of offering packs? I can just put two jars in my cart and done. Why even have a two or three-pack option if I cant save a buck or two when buying them? Meh. Sorry! This was a little irritating to me for some reason!
Anyway, moving on.
Now that we the price broken down heres my take on the formula.

If theres one thing Im an absolute sucker for, its skincare. If it promises glowing, even skin, Ill try getting tiny needles rolled into my face or washing my face with honey and if a new product is released with stellar reviews? Well, sign me up.
But the one skincare trend I never got into? Double cleansing.
Double cleansing came onto the scene a few years ago with glowing reviews from just about everyone who has ever worn makeup. It was touted as the most sure-fire way to make sure every last stitch of makeup was removed from your face without stripping it dry. Its appeal is evident, but for whatever reason, I never got into it. I swear by my Clarisonic and figured that that did the jobbut to my absolute dismay, it turns out I was wrong.
To double-cleanse, the rules are pretty simple: first, wash your face with an oil-based cleanser or cleansing balm, then follow with your regular, water-based cleanser. Beginning with an oil-based cleanser ensures that your makeup is melted off before you wash your face, leaving it squeaky-clean in the best way possible. But honestly, said cleansers felt like they cost more money than necessary, and when push came to shove, I removed my makeup before my water-based cleanser with a good ole makeup wipe.
Never did I think Id have a cleansing balm holy grail, but this has made its way onto my top shelf, and its here to stay.

The Good Molecules Instant Cleansing Balm
The Good Molecules Instant Cleansing Balm comes in a lovely pink container made of metal. It feels really sturdy and is quite a big size, with it containing 75g / 2.5OZ of product. Its a nice container to just throw in your bag and take with you when you need to. The pink packaging is also very cute and I love the whole branding of Good Molecules. Their newer products even contain an ingredient list with percentages, which has never been done before in the skincare world! The bright colours and clear lettering give a fun vibe to the entire range and make your skincare collection a lot more fun.
Inside the container you find a little spoon on top of a separate plastic lid. This is really handy in my eyes, since you can keep the spoon within the container, without it getting mixed up in the product. Ive already lost scoopers of other products since you have to keep them separate from the container often, which is not handy at all. So I really like this piece of plastic that separates the two. Underneath the plastic you can of course find the balm, which is a sort of jelly white colour and a really hard substance.
