What I Could Have Done Better
The main thing I think I could have done better with was my water consumption. I don’t think I was drinking enough water at all. But it was really hard because I was already drinking so much juice that I just wasn’t thirsty. It was also really cold here in NYC and it’s really hard for me to drink a lot of cold water when I’m totally freezing. I drank a TON of herbal tea probably at least 4 5 cups per day but honestly probably only drank 30 40 ounces of water. I probably should have been drinking twice that amount and you know, that might have also helped with the elimination piece of it.

That emotional detox I mentioned?
It changed me. A lot.
I realized during my cleanse how apt I am to tuck things away that I dont like.
Single? Meh. Shove that right on down into the dont care zone. Tight on money? No worries. That gets placed there, too.

I was hoping to start on Friday, but my original delivery was delayed due to the driver getting a flat tire. So, I had a Saturday start. I drank about half the cashew milk bottle in the afternoon because I felt a bit hungry and it seemed like it might stick the ribs a little better.
Around 3ish, I drank 4, my afternoon snack. This is when Jack and I snuggled up on the couch to watch a movie and suddenly all the juice hit me and I had to pee every 15 minutes. I swear, as soon as I was done peeing Id need to go again! It was super annoying, but thankfully I was at home and near a bathroom.
I had 5, my dinner, around 6pm or so and then finished the cashew milk as a dessert.

My “before” weight was 173 and my “after” weight was 168. What was more amazing than losing 5 lbs in a week was the transformation of my waist, and the overall slimming of my entire body. Ive got a whole guide on juice cleansing that you should definitely read but if you want the quick version, stay right where you are!
Before you get your teeth into your juice cleanse, make some small, healthy changes to your diet and lifestyle. This will make your transition into your cleanse a lot easier and youll be more likely to stick to it! If you already live pretty healthily and are reasonably active, you can probably jump straight into your cleanse, but if not, consider the changes below:
Avoid junk food, soda, instant foods, takeaways basically anything you know is unhealthy. Also, try to drink less caffeine if you can and avoid alcohol as far as possible.
Instead, start having salads, soups, homemade meals, nuts, lots of veggies. You could also consider swapping from dairy products to alternatives, like nut milk. These alternatives are often lower in calories than dairy but theyre also easier on your digestive system.
