Are You Supposed To Wash Off Cetaphil
Yes! You are supposed to wash oof Cetaphil 5 minutes after applying it on to your skin. Listen! Apart from the growing confusion of how many times you must use Cetaphil daily, some of you have been wondering if leaving or washing off Cetaphil makes any difference.
Under no circumstance are you supposed to leave on Cetaphil without washing it off after applying it on to your face or body. You must wipe it off clean with these face wipes or wash it off with water.
Though Cetaphil can be used without water, the recommendation is that you only leave it on for five minutes after you have rubbed it on onto your face and neck and wipe off using face wipes.
Otherwise, you must wash it off with warm water after 5 minutes and pat-dry your face with a soft cotton towel before applying your day or evening serum.
After all, the whole purpose of washing your face is to remove the gunk of pollutants and excess sweat off your skin before slapping on skin repairing moisturizer on. Thy may say theres no need for rinsing your face once you rub on Cetaphil.
The fact still remains that to unleash the beautiful part about the Cetaphil skin care product line is to maximize the best use standards for better results a thin layer left on your skin is actually good for it.

Steps For A Better Skin Routine
Everyday soaps can be harsh and irritating, so choose agentle cleanser that suits your skin type. Look for one that maintains your skins normal pH balance and doesnt damage its natural protective barrier. All Cetaphil cleansers are clinically shown to maintain your skins pH and natural moisture, making them ideal for sensitive skin. Ifyou haveoily skin, look for a cleanser specially designed not to clog pores and that regulates sebum/oil, like Cetaphil DermaControl Oil Removing Foam Wash.
Limit cleansing your face to twice a day and, after cleansing, be sure to pat theskin dry. Avoid rubbing your face with your towel to ensure you dont cause irritation.
If you have dry skin, apply moisturizer while your skin is still damp. This helps to trap moisture and keep your skin soft and smooth. You might think that oily skin doesnt need a moisturizer, but even if you notice that you have excess oil, you still need to moisturize even visibly oily skin can still lack moisture. Just be sure to use a non-comedogenic, oil-free moisturizer, as this means it won’t clog pores.
Using a daily moisturizer with SPF is a great way to make sure you dont skip sun protection. SPF 15 is the minimum value for adequate daily protection.
Dont forget to treat your eye area in your skincare routine. The skin around the eyes is delicate and thinner than the rest of your skin, and using aneye gel or cream before going to bed at night helps to hydrate, brighten and smooth the eye area.

Cetaphil Daily Facial Cleanser Review

By: Brittany
The Cetaphil product line has long been one that my family has sworn by for as long as I can remember. I’ve been using it personally since elementary school and I know cousins who have been using it since they were born. My family loves Cetaphil products! But, is the brand really all that they make it out to be? Below is my Cetaphil Daily Facial Cleanser Review.
What the Cetaphil Daily cleanser claims to do:
- Ideal for combination to oily skin
- removes excess surface oils, dirt and makeup
- Won’t dry or dull your skin
- Safe for sensitive skin
What I like about the cleanser, first and foremost, is that it can be used by essentially any skin type. The bottle itself says that it’s made for normal to oily skin and as a girl with oily skin, this is appreciated.
As for what the facial cleanser says it will do, I’ll break it down one-by-one to give a more in-depth explanation of my experience.
Claim: Gentle Enough for Daily Use
This, I can attest for. I used this cleanser for years both morning and night every day and my skin never grew irritated, broke out, or had any other reaction that would have forced me to stop using the product. Although it doesn’t lather much, the cleanser is easy to glide across the face and massage into the skin. You really don’t need much, either. I usually pumped ½ to ¾ of a full pump onto my fingers and had enough to cover my face, neck, and decollete.
Claim: Does not strip the skin
Claim: Removes surface impurities

St Ives Fresh Skin Apricot Scrub
The basics: Its impossible to talk about divisive skin-care products without talking about St. Ives. The physical exfoliant was once a mainstay in many a teen shower its crushed-walnut formula helps to buff away dead skin on the face and body.
What customers say: A few years ago, St. Ives was part of a class-action lawsuit. The plaintiffs argued that the crushed walnuts caused damage to their skin, and that claims that the formula was non-comedogenic were false. These complaints are shared by other customers, who say the stuff is tough on their skin. But others love St. Ives, saying it helped cure their acne and smooth their skin. In fact, even Gigi Hadid said shes used the scrub since high school.
On Twitter, the discourse can get heated. A few years ago, one customer tweeted out her hate of St. Ives, and her mentions quickly turned ugly. Defenders jumped in, claiming that the scrub worked wonders for them. But her retort was pretty spot on: The well it worked for me! concept in skin care to me is the equivalent of I eat whatever I want and I never gain weight!
What pros say: Theres always a question of whether the walnuts are smooth or jagged, because jagged edges can cause abrasion, Goldbach says. Shah agrees, saying that not every skin type needs physical exfoliation. Sensitive-skin types especially can have negative reactions.
