Best Makeup Remover: Mac Cleanse Off Oil
MAC Cleanse Off Oil is my new best friend. When I heard my favorite MAC girls gushing and I mean, GUSHING!, over Cleanse Off Oil via Twitter all during Fashion Week, I knew I had to try it for myself. Despite being a huge MAC fan and collector, I must admit I tend to overlook their skincare, though Ive been pretty happy with the skincare products Ive tried by them .
The description off of MACs website lists Cleanse Off Oil as, An industry-strength oil-based makeup remover thats gentle on the skin. Botanically formulated with oils of olive fruit, evening primrose and jojoba seed and absolutely 100% mineral-oil free. Massages onto the skin to loosen all makeup, including waterproof mascara. Emulsifies into a lotion-type liquid with water: rinses off easily, no tissues requiredand no residue! Protects with vitamin E. Skin softening and conditioning.
Nick Gavrelis, VP of Product Development for MAC, tells us that Cleanse Off Oil was originally developed for their Asian Markets as a quick, makeup removing oil that quickly and thoroughly dissolves all traces of make-up, cleanses and conditions skin and can be emulsified in contact with water then rinsed off completely. He tell us the best way to apply it is to massage it to blend well with your makeup. Then, simply rinse off with lukewarm, as emulsifying the oil with water.
When I asked MAC Senior Artist Tiffany Johnston why she cant get enough of the Cleanse Off Oil, this is what she said:

I ran into this product on accident. Yes accident. I went to my Mac store in the mall, which by the way it has 2 Mac stores YEAH!!!! As I was checking out at the counter they have their travel size products for 10.00 dollars and I saw a few items. Cleanse Off Oil/Tranquil not really knowing what this was.
This is a travel size product 30ml/1.0 USfl oz for 10.00 dollars even though you might think it is small, you are getting pretty good amount of product. The full size product is 150ml/5.0 US fl oz for 30.00 dollars.
It is a mineral oil -free make up remover/cleanser for skin. Contains sea grass, peach leaf and soothing chamomile. Scented with citus yuzu fused with conditioning botanical oils of grape seed, olive leaf, sunflower and lavender.
I checked out YouTube to see how you use this product and there are two ways. First and the one I use is you apply it on dry skin and massage it and then rinse with water. The second one was adding water to the solution making it a milky and water and then applying it to face. I like the first application even though this is a oil it does not leave your face oily at all and it removes MASCARA even waterproof. I love this product and have been using it for a few months.
I recommend this product or at least try the travel size and check it out for yourself.
On Second Thought I Actually Adore Mac Cleanse Off Oil/tranquil

When I find myself tapping an almost empty plastic bottle upside down against the side of the sink to coax out the last few drops of this product, or zipping to the mall minutes before it closes to pick up a spare and coming home with not one but two replacement bottles thats when I know its probably time to throw my arms up in the air, spin around in circles and sing at the top of my lungs like Maria does at the beginning of the Sound of Music

Err so maybe my version of the song doesnt have quite the same ring to it as Marias, but I still think this stuff is awfully amazing. Epic, even.
Its a mineral oil-free makeup remover designed to whisk away face, lip and eye makeup, and it does such a good job on hard-to-remove products that I rarely feel the need to use it with a secondary cleanser.
As with many great relationships, MAC Cleanse Off and I started out as work friends. When I reviewed it the first time last summer, I liked it and gave it a B+, but I felt like we wanted different things in life I wanted a makeup remover that wouldnt mess with my vision, for instance, and MAC Cleanse wanted to cloud up my eyes.
We kept things strictly platonic for a while, but then one night a few months ago, one thing led to another , and now Im completely head-over-heels in lust! MAC Cleanse Off has become one of my favorite products in the line.

As an oily skinned girl I avoid oil at all costs. In makeup items and skin care products I watch for oil in ingredients at all times. But over the last year or so many people who I watch on YouTube have been raving about Cleansing Oils. What surprised me was the fact that these people I love to watch have oily skin just like me!
I finally purchased some Mac Cleanse Off Oil/Tranquil on our last vacation. I was so excited to visit a Mac Pro Store and after talking with the helpful sales associate she recommended that I try it. As for my skin type I usually have an oily t-zone but dry cheeks. My usual routine is to use Dove Makeup Removal Wipes at night. I go through remover wipes at a rapid pace. The Dove wipes are gentle and so quick and easy. Ive been using them for years.
I had this Cleanse Off Oil on my counter for weeks and did nothing with it. I was so scared of the oil. Finally two weeks ago I pumped it out into my hand and rubbed it all over my face with both hands and watched my makeup liquefy off. All of my eye makeup was loosened and after splashing my face with water it was all gone. All my makeupwithout any intense rubbing and irritation. I love this stuff! I like how my face looks afterward too. It isnt dry or oily its somewhere in between.
