Curd And Honey Cleanser:
In a bowl, take 2 teaspoons of curd and add 1 teaspoon of organic honey to it. Mix this pack well and apply it all over the face. Then keep for about 2-3 minutes and rinse it off with cold water. One can also add 1 teaspoon of olive oil, if you have very dry skin. You can follow up with your toning and moisturizing as usual. This cleanser can be used on a regular basis, as it is very mild on the skin.
How To Use Your Own Oil Cleanser Every Day
Applying your oil blend could not be easier! All you need is a soft, bamboo fibre or cotton cloth. If you want to remove make up from small areas like your eyes, you can use reusable cotton roundel.
Pair your homemade oil cleanser with reusable make up roundels for a zero waste routine
Step 1
Wash your hands well, dry them and then squeeze 4-5 drops of the oil into the palm of your hand.
Step 2
Distribute the oil between your hands and start massaging it once the face, including the neck, in circular movements. This will take you between one to three minutes. Just enjoy it and don’t rush it. If you need to remove any eye make up, add a couple of drops of oil to a wet cotton roundel and gently scrub any make-up away. Rinse and repeat if necessary.

Step 3
Dampen your face cloth with warm/hot water, squeeze any excess water out and place the hot towel over your face for a few seconds. Repeat if necessary, making sure to cover the neck area as well. Massage your skin before removing the cloth. If you feel you still have some of the oil left on your skin you can use a simple wet towel to scrub any excess oil off.
Using an oil cleanser morning and night dramatically cuts down the number of products you’re using
Step 4
Dry your face with a towel and enjoy the amazing feeling of soft, purified skin!
Taking Your Oil Cleanser To The Next Level
The cream cleanser is the more sophisticated cousin of the oil cleanser. They do the same job, but by creating an emulsion we can get away with using a larger variety of ingredients, including those that are water soluble. I like to think of cream cleansers as taking your oil cleanser to the next level.
When we talk about emulsions, your mind probably goes straight to moisturizers. While this often the case, an emulsified cream cleanser can actually do a great job of ridding the skin of daily grime.

Tailored For Your Unique Skin
The added benefit of being able to use water-soluble ingredients in the water part of a cream cleanser means you can tailor the cleanser to your own unique skin more easily. Theyre also wonderfully nourishing, which is an important consideration if you have dry skin.
If you have oily skin, I wouldnt recommend a cream cleanser. While it would be better than an oil cleanser, there are still much better options for you.

Natural Face Cleanser For Breakouts
Putting oil on your face when you have acne may seem counterintuitive. But hear us out. Oils with a high percentage of linoleic acid, an omega-6 essential fatty acid, can help, says Dr. Hellman. Linoleic acid is naturally present in your skin, but when you have acne, your skin has less of it than it needs. Among the oils that contain high amounts: hemp, safflower, rosehip, and grapeseed.
Try: Place a quarter-sized amount of oil in your hand, and rub your hands together to warm the oil, suggests Donica Johns of nmbotanical. Apply gently all over your face. Massage firmly but gently, always moving upward, for two minutes, then let the oil sit on your face for 30 seconds. Place a washcloth soaked with warm water on your face. Leave on for about a minute.

How To Make Cleansing Milk At Home For Dry Skin
Are you searching to make cleansing milk at home for dry skin? If yes then you are in the right place. Dry skin is frequently caused by harsh soaps, itchy clothing, improper moisturizer application, and long, hot showers rather than by a skin condition or disease. We often use the wrong skin products, which end up deteriorating your skin rather than curing it of the problem. It also happens because of the lack of natural skin oils on your face. While your skin is still working hard to produce oils and hydrate itself, you make its job more difficult by using harsh soaps and cleansers. All of your problems will be solved by DIY cleansing milk homemade from two natural ingredients: honey and milk. Then we will discuss some other remedies too. Before we start creating a homemade cleanser for dry skin, here are a few other things to discuss.
Super Cheap And Great For Dry Skin
Of all homemade face cleansers, this is probably the cheapest and easiest to make. As it literally only contains oils, you can get away with using carrier oils only. Theyre also amazing for dry skin types, as the added moisturising benefits of the oils in these cleansers will nourish your skin while simultaneously cleaning it.

Coconut Oil Face Cleanser
Without stripping your skin of its natural oils, coconut oil can eliminate any shine that appears at the end of the day. Its unique combination of natural fatsincluding linoleic acid and lauric acid makes it useful in treating the skin, says Joshua Zeichner, MD, director of cosmetic and clinical research in dermatology at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City. Its an effective moisturizer, and its great for atopic dermatitis. But if you have acne-prone skin, steer clear of coconut oil unless you know that your face can tolerate it.
Try: Gently massage a squirt of coconut oil onto your face for about 30 seconds, recommends Sherri at Overthrow Martha. Then apply a warm towel onto your face to open up your pores. Wait 15 to 30 seconds, then remove the oil by patting with a washcloth. Here are some additional healthy ways to use coconut oil.
The Best Homemade Face Cleanser
Hands down, the foaming cleanser is probably the best cleanser you can get. It will cut through just about anything, and rivals the oil cleanser in make up removal.
It also looks really cool! Theres a certain novelty associated with pumping out a cleanser that is foaming. It makes the giftee or customer think that its going to work much better than it does. While this sort of thing is often psychological/placebo, this is not the case for a foaming cleanser.
This cleanser foams because of the surfactant in the product. Surfactants are great at binding and removing oil particles, as well as breaking up dirt, grime and the nasty gunk that form blackheads in our pores. Of all these cleansers, this has the highest concentration of surfactant, which makes it one of the best.

Face Wash For Sensitive Skin
– Honey Chamomile Homemade Face Wash
For someone with sensitive skin, it is always best to pick a face wash that helps calm the skin. This skin type comes with pre-existing conditions and its cleansing process needs to be simple enough to help prepare it for the other steps in the routine. With its anti-inflammatory properties, chamomile can calm irritated, sensitive skin. It is also astringent in nature, thus offering skin-tightening benefits along with the removal of toxins from the skin. As for honey, it is a rejuvenating element that repairs damaged skin.
How To: Soak some fresh chamomile flowers in a jar of raw honey and set aside for a week. Strain this infusion with a cheesecloth and store it in a clean glass jar. Apply the mix on damp skin, massage for a few minutes and let it sit for a minute. Wet a washcloth in warm water and place it on your face for about 20 seconds to let all the chamomile and honey goodness seep into the skin. Wipe away with the same washcloth and wash the residue with lukewarm water. Follow up with a moisturiser.
Honey And Lemon Face Cleanser

Honey and lemon team up to become a natural moisturizer and antiseptic, a perfect soothing and cleaning combination for a natural face cleanser. Honey is naturally antibacterial and full of antioxidants, which have been shown to prevent acne and slow down the skins aging process, says Sejal Shah, MD, a dermatologist in New York City. Honey also provides a complexion boost. Lemon juice is often recommended in DIY skin care because it has vitamin C, which is a great antioxidant, says Dr. Shah. It also has antimicrobial and astringent properties.
Try: Mix 1 tbsp of organic honey with the juice from half a lemon, advises Jessica Siefert of LiveGlam. Apply the mask, covering your face and neck but avoiding the area near your eyes. Wait 20 minutes, then wash off with warm water, followed by cold water. Pat dry. Read about these additional benefits of honey for health and beauty.

Making Other Types Of Face Cleansers
So Why Should You Make Homemade Face Cleansers
I am an advocate for making your own skincare products at home because the cleansers that you find over the counter contain too many chemicals and other stuff thats harsh on your skin and can strip it of its natural oils.
This means that your skin can get drier by using these products.
And, you may also have an allergic reaction!
When it comes to your face, its best when you know where all those ingredients are coming from.
After all, its your skin!

Homemade Facial Cleanser A Lush Copycat
Lushs Angels on Bare Skin used to be my hands down all time favourite facial cleanser. Its what they call a fresh facial cleanser. Theres no preservatives, sulphates or any other yucky stuff so you can understand I was devastated when I had used up my little tub.
Unfortunately the nearest Lush store to me is in Valencia city and hours drive away. I dont get there very often. Yes I could order it online but after taking a look at the ingredients the DIY diva in me decided to have a go at making my own version. The main and most important ingredients I already had at home and Im pretty sure you do too.

Lavender Oil Cleanser For Dry Skin

Lavender essential oil from Rocky Mountain Oils is my favorite for skincare because it leaves skin bright and glowing.
Lavender essential oil offers skin-loving benefits and soothes irritation. The diy oil cleanser is excellent in combination with moisture-boosting carrier oils such as grapeseed or sweet almond. However, you can use any of your favorite skin-loving carrier oils in this recipe. I opt for jojoba oil from Rocky Mountain Oils.
When it comes to choosing a carrier oil for you, I suggest sticking with grapeseed, sweet almond, or jojoba oil. Olive oil in the US is often tainted, leading to inflammation if you apply it to your face. Coconut oil can also be comedogenic, which causes more breakouts.
Ingredients:
-
6 drops of lavender essential oil
-
A washcloth or reusable cotton round
Instructions: Pour the carrier oil directly into the bottle you house your cleanser in. Drop the lavender essential oil into the bottle next and mix it thoroughly. The essential oil must dilute before you apply it to your skin.
Yield: About an ounce.
Using the Cleanser: If you have never used lavender essential oil topically, complete a spot test on the inside of your wrist before using the cleanser on your entire face. Massage the oil directly into your skin. Wet a washcloth or reusable cotton round with warm water, using it to remove the oil from your face. Repeat as needed to remove makeup. Follow with moisturizer.
