Osea Ocean Cleansing Mudd Reviews

The Essential Corrective Complex

REVIEW | OSEA Skincare

I love these spot treatment types of products. You just roll it over your acne and massage it in. This one smells wonderful and is really effective. It can be used daily to treat breakouts and is formulated with just botanicals and essential oils to help reduce the appearance of oily shine and blemishes.

I have used products like this before so I know for it to be most effective I have to apply it at the onset of a pimple. It did prevent them from getting all huge and painful, and generally, they were gone within a day or two. With this product, a little goes a long way. Also note that it is oil based, so if you prefer not to use oils then you would not like this product.

The Sea Minerals Mist Review

Another favorite, because it’s so refreshing and hydrating. This mineral mist perfect for normal, combination, oily, blemish-prone skintypes and skin experiencing acute irritation and dehydration from sun exposure. Organic Patagonian Seaweed, Dead Sea Salt, and Aloe Vera neutralize surface impurities and diminish the appearance of inflammation and redness on the surface of the skin.

A spritz of this adds instant hydration which most people need and is soothing. I spray it on after cleansing, before my moisturizer. I also like to use it as a makeup setter. This mist has no scent, which I actually like, and has no residue.

The Blemish Balm Review

A light, non-greasy moisturizer for oily and/or blemish-prone skin that reduces the appearance of blemishes and oily shine. It hydrates, minimizes breakouts, and eradicates surface impurities without clogging pores, leaving your skin feeling incredibly clean and fresh.

I really like this moisturizer. It smells so good and is so calming on the skin. My skin drinks it up and it makes a significant difference to my acne, preventing the usually hormonal outbreaks I tend to get. The cream is non-oily, almost mattifying, and I even use it on my chest and shoulders to help with body acne. This is probably one of the most effective lotions for acne I have ever used. I do need to layer another oil or moisturizer over this since my skin is dry.

Osea Ocean Cleansing Mudd

This slippery gel-liquid cleanser is the best in the morning! The first thing you will notice is the cool minty tingle. My skin feels super clean and awake after washing with this! I would say it seems to help new breakouts from forming. I also wash the cleanser away with a Koji sponge. The texture of the sponge add gentle exfoliation to my morning routine. And it helps to clear away any lingering dead skin, which is the last thing you want if youre acne prone.

Some rockstar ingredients in this cleanser are: rosemary oil, lavender oil, peppermint oil, cypress oil and tea tree oil to diminish blemishes. Macrocystis Pyrifera Extract and jojoba oil add a little bit of nourishment to keep things from being too drying.

Some people may find the Ocean Mudd Cleanser drying, especially if you already have dry skin. Those with normal to oily skin would benefit most from this cleanser. And if you have super dry skin, I would advise using this occasionally but not daily.

A little warning: avoid your eyes with the product. The mint and tea tree oil will definitely sting your eyes for a bit if it comes in contact with them.

Ocean Cleansing Milk Review

OSEA Ocean Cleanser

This soothing, hydrating, gentle creamy cleanser for dry, sensitive skin was my favorite. Formulated with natures best skin soothers like Water Lily extract, this creamy cleanser gently removes surface impurities and diminishes the appearance of redness and surface irritation. It leaves my skin looking and feeling soft and hydrated. It removes my makeup and does not leave any residue nor was it oily. I also love that it has no scent .

If you have acne, this cleanser would be ideal if your skin also leans towards being dry or sensitive. If you have oily skin, try the Ocean Cleansing Mudd .

Beauty Review: Osea Malibu Ocean Cleansing Mudd

STATUS: REVIEW COMPLETED

New favorite skincare regimen alert! Osea Malibu is a skincare brand based in California. They craft a wide variety of skincare and body products. Their formulas are as healthy as they are powerful. When testing new skincare, I prefer using a full skincare regimen from the same brand. I avoid mixing other brands in, whenever possible. This way, each brands unique formulas a chance to shine. I have been using Osea Malibu skincare products consistently for the past few months and I am a believer.

Today, I am reviewing Osea Malibus Ocean Cleansing Mudd which I used in conjunction with other Osea products.

How I use it

REVIEW CRITERIA

Performance Thoroughly cleanses my skin without stripping it or leaving any dirt or makeup behind.

Packaging Most of their bottles are glass at the exception of their face masks and body polish.

Hyaluronic Sea Serum Review

This serum is a facial oil formulated to add a burst of hydration for all skin types. It visibly improves the signs of aging and brightens skin. It’s unique because it’s formulated with 3 different organic seaweeds and multiple molecular weights of hyaluronic acid.

My dry skin loves hyaluronic acid so I knew I would really enjoy this serum. It absorbs very quickly and is not sticky or oily. It’s also unscented.

Of all the hyaluronic acid serums I have tried this one is my favorite because of the texture and how easily it absorbs. I love to layer it under the Atmosphere Protection Cream.

Osea White Algae Mask

Its best to counteract acne-fighting products dryness with some form of hydration. Otherwise, you can develop dry patches which will trigger your skin to overproduce sebum! As you may know already, excess sebum is not a good thing for those vulnerable to breakouts. Make sure you follow your acne treatments with something to nourish your skin!

I purchased the White Algae Mask because it is both clarifying and soothing. Its gentle enough to use daily yet it is effective. I like pairing it with the Ocean Cleansing Mudd to ensure that my breakouts are kept in check without sacrificing my skins hydration. The White Algae mask contains Japanese apricot, grape resveratrol, and white tea extract to brighten your skin. The algae and jojoba oil keep your skin hydrated without looking greasy.

After using this mask, my skin looks fresh, awake and semi-matte. Any angry breakouts are calmed a bit and dry patches are soothed. And I especially like the pump bottle packaging. You simply press on the top to pump out however much White Algae mask you need. Theres no mess. I typically apply it directly on my face and work around with my finger tips. Its pretty clever since this minimizes both the product being exposed to air and the risk of contamination! Double win.

You can leave this mask on for however long you like! A minimum of 10 mins is suggested, but I usually leave it on for 45 mins.

Essential Hydrating Oil Review

MY VEGAN SKINCARE ROUTINE WITH OSEA MALIBU | KAKESS

This facial oil is an anti-aging oil to plump skin, smooth fine lines, and hydrate. Since my skin is dry I really enjoyed using this facial oil. It comes in a small roller bottle just like the acne spot treatment.

The trick to using facial oils and not feeling like an oil slick is to apply a small amount to damp skin. So I spray the Sea Minerals Mist all over my face then apply the Essential Hydrating Oil by rolling it over a few spots on my face, then massage it in. It absorbs quickly this way and leaves a silky finish. OSEA recommends you layer your moisturizer over this, like the Atmosphere Protection Cream or Blemish Balm, which I found works really well.

It has a nice geranium scent, which I like but some people don’t. You only need 2-3 drops so it lasts a while. I find it layers really well with other products and keeps my skin moisturized all day.

After A Long Flight From Toronto To Dallas My Skin Was Freaking Out Topical Blemish Treatments Stopped Working Was This Stress

I had to try something new. Enter: Ocean, Sun, Earth and Atmosphere. Or OSEA for short. This brand caught my eye due to a) their minimalist pretty packaging and b) their natural, non-toxic ingredient lists. OSEAs skincare line is quite large! I have to admit, I didnt know what to start. My skin is combination and it dances between dry and oily, clear and blemish-prone. But after a flurry of breakouts around my jawline, I decided now was the time to finally take the plunge! And Im so glad I did! I purchased both the OSEA Ocean Cleansing Mudd to prevent any further breakouts and the White Algae Mask to calm the existing ones.

Lets take a step back before I get into the skin treatment: The very first thing I do when I get a rash of breakouts is try to determine why.

My skin is super fickle. Like a small child throwing a tantrum for no damn reason.I give you everything! Why are you acting like this!? *cries into pillow* And to be honest, sometimes its really difficult to pinpoint what is causing my adult acne. My diet was good I was staying hydrated and exercising. I clean my face and pillowcases regularly. There wasnt a new beauty product in my routine. So what was causing these angry little pimples??

The Ocean Cleansing Mudd Review

This cleanser is specifically for oily, blemish-prone, and congested skin. It can be used morning and night, or 2-4 times per week as needed to help balance excess oil. It has peppermint and tea tree essential oils, mixed in a base of Macrocystis Seaweed Extract which is rich in iodine.

I use this about once a week, sometimes twice when I have hormonal breakouts. It has a nice cooling sensation on the skin and like the cleansing milk is not oily and leaves no residue. Your skin really feels fresh and invigorated after using this. The scent at first threw me off because it literally smelled like the sea, but with a hint of mint, however, I don’t mind earthy scents. This really helps to remove oil so this would be an excellent product for anyone with oily skin. I found it too drying to use on a regular basis.

Atmosphere Protection Cream Review

This lightweight moisturizer provides barrier protection against extreme climates, wind and air pollution. Infused with antioxidant rich oils and organic seaweed firm skin, to leave skin with a silky finish.

This moisturizer really surprised me. It’s a thin lotion but really moisturizes well leaving a silky matte finish which makes it great as a primer. If I needed more moisture I could layer an oil on top but usually this did the trick. It has a nice fresh scent from the essential oils but wasn’t strong. The bottle lasted me a really long time so the price is worth it. I found that it layered well under all my makeup, as well as other skincare products.
