I didn’t expect this to be HG!
I tried the original Philosophy Purity Made Simple, which I had as a sample. I wasn’t crazy about it, I thought it was okay and I wasn’t really digging the scent. But the sample size lasted me a few months and when I finished it, I realized I liked the way it cleaned my skin. So I had one of those “You don’t know what you have until it’s gone” moment.
I went to Macy’s to pick up a full size, but then I saw this cleansing gel version for oily skin. I wasn’t sure which one to get because I know I like the original, but should I get the gel one because I do have oily skin? I asked the sales associate what the difference was between the two, and she went on explaining that she prefers the gel and with a Clarisonic it makes your face feel squeaky clean while still being sulfate-free. I took her advice and snatched this one up.
I have to say I pretty much love this stuff. The original cleanser made my skin soft and it felt pretty clean, but the gel version made my skin SUPER clean, I don’t know how to explain it, but it does. I use this at night to take off my makeup, and when I touch my face after using it with my Clarisonic I feel like my pores breathing. It also makes applying my moisturizer SOO smooth. As a makeup remover, it does a great job as well. I’m so happy that I’ve finally got my skin care routine down. I can definitely see a difference in my skin’s texture and its overall condition.
